in order for a site to be accessible online, it needs to be hosted on a server connected to the internet. Unlike many other design firms, we do not require our clients to purchase a hosting contract from us; we do require a Unix/Linux host for security reasons. However, most find that having it all under one roof makes life much easier all around.

likewise, we will provide hosting services to clients with their own designers. We consider hosting a separate section of our business.

what we offer

are you confused about hosting? With so many companies to choose from, do you know what you really need? Check out our overview of some of the things you should know.

there are thousands of hosting companies, big and small, vying for your business. We don't claim to offer the "mostest for the cheapest." We don't run our own servers. Instead, we have contracted with a couple of the best and most reliable hosting wholesalers we could find. We host our own sites there.

it's not all about space; some important things, like unique IP addresses, are becoming harder and harder to find. Most hosting companies oversell their space by far too much, luring you into a false sense of security; they bet on you never using all that space. Overpromising has become part of business, but responsible providers, like the ones we're dealing with, will continue to manage their servers so that you don't experience the extreme slowdowns or failures that come with a site suddenly requiring all that space and bandwidth.
